im not sure, but when i tried them at that setup, they didnt work. Also, PuterDudeJim sent me something to look at that was setup like you say, and the hands moved all over the place. When i made the images 350x350 and centered the hands at the top, it cleaned this up. I can only go by what i have made work. if you made it work the other way, than i dont know what to tell you... DX is strange.

Well from now on I will do it your way as I am still getting my feet wet in in DX.
Note I did have to set the image as a child of the base before applying the image or it ran on me also. After doing that it worked but I now know so thank you RomanDA

PuterDudeJim sent me the same thing. I resized his face plate to 500X500Pxls.
Then I made a new seconds hand and made it the size 500X12.
I then filled in 250pxls with color.
I added it as parent to Face plate. It worked like a charm. I decided to switch left to center at 250pxl and switched top to center at 250pxls. Still worked like a charm.

Thanks RomanDa and theAVMAN

Forgot to add that I adjusted the width of it it properties to 350pxls because its the seconds hand.

It stayed centered and work perfect.

I tried weatherbounds setup and it did not work for me....DX IS strange. RomanDA's setup did work, however. Thanx to all that helped with this post.

i wonder if its diff versions of DX or the clock DLL. I know there was a version of DX that had a lot of issues with "rotating" but that was a while ago.

im no expert, i just know how it works for me, but im sure there are a lot of other ways to do things. I never say my way is the only way, just saying the way i did it worked, as i said, it could work other ways with the right settings who knows.

DX is a wild and wonderful program, i have had things that worked one day that didnt the next, so who knows. Its why i just make my own code these days, i know how it works, or at least i know how i think it should work.

wow there are a lot of I's up there.. enough about me, what about ME?

Hi, i am new at all this but learning alot. I tried making a clock using the analogclock3dll and it worked. I would like to do the same but have the option to change the color of the hands. I know i can download a clock widget that does this and just change the face but I want to use my own hands and images. If there is a plugin for this or a tutorial on how to... please let me know. This is the design I made and want to have some nice hands for it.

clock

thanks

Doubird

Below is a link of a clock I made that has this feature in it.Open with DX builder right click on the color changer then properties you can see how it is set up.Go to edit code and take a look you should be able to copy the code and paste to the code section for the color button you create .Then cange the group and image names to match the ones you use for your clock.Only the images in the code section will be affected by the color change button.

If I can help just let me know!
